The final conference of the MEDIADEM research project on ‘Media freedom and independence: Trends and challenges in Europe’ will be held on 7 February 2013. The conference is organised by the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA) and the Association of European Journalists (AEJ).

Een studie over onderzoeksjournalistiek in en over Europa werd op 9 oktober 2012 voorgesteld in het Europees Parlement. De studie was besteld door de Parlementaire Commissie voor Begrotingscontrole en is namens het Fonds Pascal Decroos door Margo Smit uitgevoerd.

On 9 October 2012 Margo Smit presented to the members of the European Parliamentary Committee for Budgetary Control a study on the state of investigative journalism in the 27 EU member states. The Committee had asked the Pascal Decroos Fund to execute the study.
