News - ‘Toxic Europe’ seeks crowdfunding
BRUSSELS - The documentary movie project ‘Toxic Europe’ investigates the trafficking of hazardous waste within Europe. The production team seeks support via co-producers and crowdfunding.
The aim of the inquiry is to investigate the quantities, the flows and the mechanisms of the illegal traffic, following the hypothesis that the globalised market is favouring this dangerous business <!--StartFragment-->as managed by the organised crime.
On the website www.toxiceurope.eu it is possibile to know the partners and the sponsors of the project, like the AGI, Associazione di Giornalismo Investigativo and the Italian daily online paper DailyBlog. Moreover, from the site it is possibile to contact the authors and to support the project through crowdfounding.
The documentary is already in production, but even though it is supported by the Flare network, the Associazione Ilaria Alpi, the newspaper Novaya Gazeta and DailyBlog, the filmmakers have not yet succeeded in covering all costs associated with production. For this reason, 'Toxic Europe' is still looking for co-producers, who can be Italians as well as foreigners, and needs above all the support of citizens who believe that making such a documentary is important.
