iMinds 2011

GENT - After iMinds was embedded in the large-scale Future Internet conference week, this year the 3rd edition of this networking conference invites anyone with an interest in the subject of ICT innovation.

iMinds 2011 will be a stand alone conference but not less ambitious then the previous edition. It will plunge you into the world of IBBT and its research and incubation facilities. Date and venue are fixed, so save the date in your agenda: Thursday October 13, 2011 at ICC Ghent. 

A couple of Keynote speakers will inspire you to think along on how we can make our future society more pleasant, accessible and sustainable.

Xavier Damman – cofounder of Storify.com & founder of HackDemocracy.org

The brokerage sessions will offer you economic and societal results of their recent ICON (Interdisciplinary Cooperative Research) and they sure hope to hear from you which ideas you’re playing with for future research projects. iMinds will help you along in forming a relevant and complementary consortium to develop those ideas into new products, services and companies.

The VRT medialab will offer an overview of their activities and accomplishments over the last couple of years and some inspiring European and Flemish living lab projects will be presented in the “Test & Develop” break-out sessions. To ensure that all those results don’t get stuck and have actual impact on our lives, the sessions on entrepreneurship will offer an overview of potential instruments and forms of collaboration enabling the valorization of research results.
