What impact does it have on your daily life? And maybe your one-minute movie will appear on the International Film Festival of Flanders in Ghent! You win your share of the € 2500 prize money! Or you get a digital FLIP camera

Be inspired by our ten demo videos and submit your entry. From October 1 until 17 you can vote for your favourites. Waaris.eu is an initiative of the Pascal Decroos Fund and is supported by the Flemish government.

Awards
A professional jury will honour the jury award. The winner of the audience award will be determined on the basis of online voting. Both winners receive a mini HD FLIP camera. The filmmaker of the jury award wins € 1500. The public award is worth € 1000. The award ceremony will takes place at the International Film Festival of Flanders in Ghent.
 

Jury
The jury for the best one-minute movie Waaris.eu is represented by the Pascal Decroos Fund, Journalismfund.eu, the Flemish Dissertation Award, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) and the International Film Festival of Flanders in Ghent.

 

Participation
Everybody can take part to this competition! As this initiative is mainly funded by the Flemish government, the main language of the website is Dutch. We hope that this is not a barrier for you to participate. All languages can be used in your one-minute video. For inspiration check the demo videos and the news. For tips regarding filming and editing there is the help-page. When you submit a video, be aware of the copyrights and your privacy. If you have questions, feel free to contact us.

  • Deadline movies - September 30, 2010 
  • Online Voting - October 1 to October 17, 2010 
  • Awards Ceremony at the International Film Festival of Flanders, Kinepolis Ghent, Ter Platen 12, 9000 Ghent – October 19, 2010 from 7.30 pm
