Frauke Decoodt is a Belgian freelance journalist.
Frauke Decoodt (° 82) writes about people and their stories. She writes about social and political abuses, but also about hopeful initiatives and changes. Her themes are social movements, indigenous peoples, migration and human rights in Latin America.
She lived in Honduras for a year and a half and in Guatemala for two years and often returns to the region. She worked for various human rights organizations, she obtained a masters in conflict anthropology at Sussex University (UK) and a postgraduate in international investigative journalism at Thomas More in Mechelen (Belgium).
Frauke writes in Dutch, English and Spanish. Her articles have been published in Belgian outlets MO *, Knack, De Standaard, Internazionale (It), New Internationalist (UK), One World (Nl) and numerous North and Latin American online media.
