Helena Cazaerck is a freelance reporter for De Standaard, Knack, Mo* and international media such as The Slovak Spectator. She works from Belgium, Denmark, Ukraine, Russia and Slovakia.

She studied journalism and philosophy in Ghent and international investigative journalism in Utrecht and Aarhus. This year, her essay Willing to be wild was published in the book Remembering Our Future by Het Zoekend Hert. She also writes songs under the name Maria Iscariot with which she will release a first Ep in 2023.
