Jules Devoldere is a Belgian freelance photographer.

Jules Emile is a Brussels' born image maker. He has lived in Baltimore, where he studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2018, and in 2020 he received his MFA in photography at the Luca School of Arts in Brussels.

Working with both still imagery and video, the artist carries a curiosity that guides him to observe and carefully document. Over the years, he has built an intimate body of work, distinguishable by a fascination for people and their surroundings. Through their collective stories, he invites reflection on underlying environmental and sociopolitical issues.

Feeling most comfortable when wandering through unfamiliar environments, the artist adopts the role of the honest onlooker. His way of documenting is sincere and spontaneous, yet calculated. His imagery bears witness to the humanity of the unseen and the overlooked.

Jules Emile's work features a serendipitous collection of worldly places, where he has been able to work with local communities and organisations, as well as well known brands and publications.
