Lisa De Bode is a journalist based in New York City. She reports and writes news stories and features for Al Jazeera America. She is the author of The Quiet Revolution, a work of narrative nonfiction about the impact of Sept. 11 on women’s rights in Saudi Arabia, which was awarded the 2011 Dutch national youth foreign reporting prize Dick Scherpenzeel. She grew up reading De Morgen, and tweets @lisadebode.
