Mae Azango is Liberian journalist.

Mae Azango  decided to become a journalist when she lived under constant harassment as a refugee in Ivory Coast in the early 2000’s. Since then she tells the stories of ordinary Liberians  in Front Page Africa newspaper in partnership with the New Narratives reporting project. Azango’s courageous reporting was rewarded with the 2012 International Press Freedom awards from the Committee to Protect Journalists and Canadian Journalists for Free Expression.
