Robert Carrubba is a Hungarian photographer and filmmaker.

He studied English literature and Korean linguistics at Sogang University in Seoul and then taught Korean language and culture at DLIFLC in the United States. Since 2016, he has been photographing breaking news in the DR Congo and exhibited his reports in the DRC and Belgium. These include the photo-reportage, WEWA! -- on the lives of mototaxi drivers in Kinshasa. More recently, he has focused on the Eastern Kivu provinces. In From Extraction to Final Product; Gestures - Tools - Engines - Soils and Creseurs de revês, he focused his lens on the labor, technology, and environment surrounding artisanal mining. In 2021, Robert filmed Ecoguardians of the Kahuzi-Biega National Park, capturing the dangerous work around protecting biodiversity and endangered species in the park. Robert was an instructor for EU National Institutes for Culture Master Classes of Photography in Kinshasa, mentoring young Congolese photographers and serving as an advisor in the creation of the first university department of photography in the DRC.
