Zaïde Bil (°1990) is a Dutch–Surinamese documentary filmmaker based in Brussels, Belgium.
She is originally from Groningen and graduated from Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in Zwolle with a bachelor's degree in Journalism.
She then graduated with honours from the Royal Institute for Theatre, Film and Sound in Brussels with a master's degree in documentary filmmaking. Her graduation film MEMRE YU won her the VAF Wildcard.
The combination of her studies in journalism and documentary filmmaking gave her the artistic directing skills and thorough research abilities needed to tackle complex and multifaceted projects.
