Marcel van Silfhout is a Dutch freelance investigative journalist.

Marcel van Silfhout (1968) worked as an investigative journalist for the Utrechts Nieuwsblad, the GPD and for TV programmes such as Zembla (VARA), KRO's Reporter, De Ombudsman and Uitgesproken (VARA). He is a board member of the Dutch-Flemish Association of Investigative Journalists (VVOJ).

His travel cookbook Kookkaravaan, Smaakroute door Marokko was declared 'Dutch Cookbook of the Year' in 2011 and '3rd Best Cookbook of the World' in 2012. Since 2013 he has been active as an independent investigative journalist.
