BRUSSELS - Reaching the heart of the story in the European Union is never easy. Cutting through the red tape surrounding Brussels can be even more difficult – especially from afar. That's where the European Neighbourhood Journalism Network comes in. Their foremost aim is to train the journalists of southern Mediterranean, Eastern European and southern Caucasus countries. They will facilitate networking between journalists from these regions with the goal of building bridges within our neighbourhood.

MIAMI - The Pascal Decroos Fund aims to bring with Mediafair.org a sustainable interactive, crowd sourcing, - funding and community journalistic platform that makes journalists perceived trustful in bringing via dialogue the stories that matter to the people. Mediafair enables journalists to brand themselves and their work. Mediafair would make journalists to spend less time looking for the right tools, and spend more time using the best tools to create in-depth stories and get them to their public.

House of Lords publiceert rapport over toekomst onderzoeksjournalistiek

LONDEN - Gisteren publiceerde een 'Select Committee on Communications' van de House of Lords een rapport met als titel 'The future of investigative journalism'. Het rapport kwam er naar aanleiding van het telefoon-hacking schandaal vorige jaar bij News of the World. Opmerkelijk in het Britse House of Lords is dat parlementsleden zich focussen op onderzoeksjournalistiek veeleer dan op media.

Armoedeorganisaties en media in dialoog

BRUSSEL - Op 8 maart werd het project Mediawijsheid en Armoede op gang geschoten door het Vlaams Netwerk van verenigingen waar armen het woord nemen. Dat gebeurde met een eerste Overlegplatform Media en Armoede met daarin een geanimeerd debat.
