LEUVEN - The second edition of the Handbook for Investigative Journalists has become a comprehensive reference work. The more than thirty experienced authors have done their utmost to surpass the previous edition by providing even more practical advice and the latest insights.

Furthermore, the handbook has been expanded to include two new, informative chapters: one on AI and one on investigative journalism for audiovisual media. The updated VVOJ handbook, with its robust methodology, multifaceted approach to the profession and extensive range of tools, is future-proof for the foreseeable future.

Several chapters have been thoroughly updated in the new edition to reflect recent technological and socio-cultural developments.

The official handbook of the Dutch-Flemish Association of Investigative Journalists covers the internationally renowned Story-Based Inquiry method: a fast and effective way of organising and carrying out journalistic investigations.

Alongside this, the authors discuss the social, psychological, legal, financial, ethical and societal aspects of investigative journalism.
